We created Advance Your Practice because we noticed a gap.
Psychology master’s programmes give us a basic foundation, but as evolving psychotherapists, we need practical training to help our clients navigate the complex relational challenges they bring into the therapy room every day.
Because even when you offer individual therapy, you know that no one exists in isolation. Our clients are shaped by their partners, families, friendships, communities, workplaces, and the wider systems they live within.
Advance Your Practice workshops are designed to deepen your clinical understanding, strengthen your skills, and build your confidence in navigating the realities of human connection. You’ll leave each workshop with practical ideas and evidence-informed approaches you can put into practice right away.
We’re proud to ground our workshops in the Canadian context and reflect the diversity of the people and communities we work with.

Ramak Jaberizadeh, M.A.C.P.
Before becoming a Registered Psychotherapist, Ramak spent nearly 20 years helping non-profits and corporations tell their stories. Today, her communications background informs her therapeutic approach: she is attuned to how language influences experience, how listening builds trust, and how the stories we tell—and those we inherit—shape who we are.
Ramak supports adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, grief, relationship challenges, life transitions, identity exploration, cultural dynamics, and the impacts of trauma, displacement, and marginalization.
Her practice is informed by her community work in collaboration and solidarity with 2SLGBTQIA+ and gender-diverse individuals, newcomers seeking refuge, and children, youth, and families involved in the foster care system.
